Ms Kolohe Kitty Needs Temporary Short-Term Foster Home

Can you provide Kolohe with a foster home for a couple months? Her person will pay for food, supplies, and any necessary veterinary visits while she stays with you.

About The Situation

One of my friends is moving to Hawaii and her cat, Kolohe, needs to stay in a foster home in Washington for a little while before flying to her new home in Hawaii. Kolohe is very dear to this person, who’s quite sad to have to delay Kolohe’s move. This is guaranteed to be a temporary situation.

Hawaii has strict laws about bringing animals into the state so they can control the spread of disease. Because of this, Kolohe needs a series of shots before she is allowed to enter Hawaii. She’ll probably have all the necessary shots before her person moves, but Kolohe will have to wait 120 days after getting her final shot before she can join her person in Hawaii.

Kolohe’s doting person is eager to find a loving, comfortable, temporary home for her kitty. She’s devoted to Kolohe and is really bummed (that’s an understatement) that Kolohe can’t move to her new home at the same time she is.

About Kolohe

This indoor-only, affectionate, active, rascal (“kolohe” is Hawaiian for “rascal”) recently turned 2 yrs old. She loves to play fetch, watch birds through the window, and sit on laps.

Kolohe is a bit shy at first and she gets a bit nervous when there’s a lot of activity. Right now she lives with one human and no other animals. She’s had cats and dogs over from time-to-time, and she’s always gotten along well with them.

She’s easy to care for because she has no special medical needs. She will need a few drops of a calming flower essence added to her food or water every day. (This calms her anxiety about the changes in her situation over the next few months.)
