Ask staff at the vet if they know of other, local or regional orgs who provide this sort of assistance. (There are some in my area, but they’re all local.) Also ask the vet staff whether they accept Care Credit cards, if that’s an option for you. (See below.)

Another thing to try is calling every single animal rescue org in your area/region to ask if they have this sort of fund or know of an org that does. For some reason, few vet clinics share this info, but many non-profits share info so they’re able to point people in the right direction.

If using credit (interest-free) is something you can consider, I’d urge you to look into getting a Care Credit card (https://www.carecredit.com/vetmed). It’s used ONLY for veterinary or medical bills, has zero- and low-interest options, and they can usually approve you within a few minutes so there’s no gap in care. I know it’s a tough time to consider taking on more debt, but for some people it’s a decent option.
